We congratulate Birol Yilmaz on his 25th anniversary.
We are delighted that Birol Yilmaz has been a valued member of the AGST family for 25 years. He began his career with an apprenticeship with us in the summer of 2000, becoming our company's first apprentice. Today, Birol Yilmaz is responsible for accounting. We warmly congratulate him on his 25th anniversary and look forward to many more years together.

We congratulate Kim Steger on successfully passing her apprenticeship exam.
We congratulate Kim Steger on successfully passing her apprenticeship examination as an industrial clerk. Kim started her apprenticeship with us in the summer of 2022, and we are very pleased that she will continue to strengthen our purchasing team in the future.

Successful final exams and farewell to our trainee Lisa Ansaldi
Lisa Ansaldi began her apprenticeship as a wholesale and foreign trade management assistant with us in August 2021. Over the past few years, she has primarily supported the purchasing department. Lisa successfully passed her final apprenticeship exam last week, and we would like to congratulate her warmly. Unfortunately, Lisa is leaving our team due to a relocation. We wish her all the best for her future.

New sales employee and two new trainees
We are pleased to welcome three new members to the AGST team. Eva Herzhoff will be supporting us in sales as a contact person for customer service and wire sales. Two new apprentices started their training at AGST in August. Jakob Klug will be training to become an industrial clerk, and Johannes Jordan will be training to become a warehouse logistics specialist.
We wish you a good start at AGST.

We bid farewell to our long-time employee Nelly Voth
Unfortunately, our long-time employee Nelly Voth left us last week for personal reasons.
Nelly had been part of our team since August 2011. She initially completed her apprenticeship with us, passing her intermediate exam with an above-average result.
After completing her training, she was hired as an employee and has since worked in sales.
The entire AGST team will miss Nelly and wishes her all the best for her future.
AGST celebrates its 30th anniversary
On August 13, 1993, Bernd Hölzer founded AGST Stahlhandel (Aggerstahl) in Engelskirchen, laying the foundation for our company as it exists today. Over the past 30 years, we have grown steadily and are now Europe's leading stockist of flexible stainless steel wire.

AGST as sponsor of the carnival club KG Närrische Oberberger
This year we were able to support the carnival club KG Närrische Oberberger as a sponsor. In addition to an advertisement in the 2023 Prince's Booklet, we also contributed to the purchase of the club's jackets, which were worn in the carnival parade.

We welcome our new trainee industrial clerk.
We welcome our new trainee, Kim Steger. As part of her apprenticeship as an industrial clerk, Ms. Steger will get to know all departments of the company. We wish her every success and look forward to working with her.

Successful trade fair appearance at Wire & Tube in Düsseldorf
The Wire & Tube trade fair took place in Düsseldorf from June 20th to 24th, and we participated as exhibitors again this year. We can look back on a successful trade fair appearance and would like to take this opportunity to thank all the visitors to our booth.

AGST as a brand
AGST Draht & Biegetechnik GmbH is now the owner of the word mark AGST. This brand name was registered with the German Patent and Trademark Office on April 27, 2022.

Nina Stracke supports our team in purchasing and sales.
Since the end of March, our team has been supported by Nina Stracke, who works in both purchasing and sales. Ms. Stracke was previously employed by us from 2003 to 2012. She was one of AGST's first trainees and later worked in various departments within our company. We are therefore delighted to welcome Ms. Stracke back to our team.

High-bay warehouse completed
Our high-bay warehouse, the construction of which began in December 2019, has now been completed. A total of 14 high-bay racks were installed, consisting of double racks in the third hall. These new racks have increased our storage capacity for stainless steel wire and simultaneously contribute to optimizing our logistics processes.

New ISO 9001 certificate
We are delighted to have once again achieved successful certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001 by the accreditation body of Bureau Veritas. Our processes, which are monitored by our Quality Management Officer Nadine Kuhna, are subject to continuous improvement. This year's recertification marks the sixth consecutive time we have been awarded the ISO 9001 certificate.

New student trainee supports the team
We are pleased to welcome Marco Henschel as another student trainee to the team. Marco is studying mechanical engineering at TH Cologne (Gummersbach campus) and will be able to deepen his knowledge through practical experience with us.

Further support for young talent at AGST
Our team has been supported by Lajana Hölzer since the beginning of March. She will have the opportunity to contribute in various areas of the company.

Thomas André celebrates 20 years with the company
We are delighted to celebrate another anniversary at the beginning of the year and congratulate our colleague Thomas André on his 20 years with the company.
Thomas André, who started working for our company in the spring of 2001, has been responsible for managing the warehouse for many years.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his many years of service and we look forward to our future together.

Our employee Anja Heitzer began working for our company in the spring of 2000. Shortly afterwards, Birol Yilmaz started his apprenticeship at AGST.

New high-bay racking installed
In the third warehouse, the first high-bay racking systems could be installed, which expands our storage capacity and improves the logistics process.
Participation in a water dispenser project for the Lindlar Gymnasium
AGST Draht und Biegetechnik GmbH participated as a sponsor in the acquisition of a new water dispenser for the Lindlar Gymnasium, which was put into operation on September 20th.

New paving and container area
As part of the hall expansion, the access along the entire sides of the building was paved, thus enabling direct deliveries to the third hall. Furthermore, a storage area for containers was created in front of the hall.

New warehouse completed
Construction work to expand the warehouse, which began in May 2018, has been completed. The first products were already stored there in December. Our warehouse now has a total capacity of more than 1,500 tons.

The first products have been stored in the new hall. Construction of the hall began in May of this year. The extension allows us to increase our storage capacity by approximately 1,000 square meters.
New ISO certificate
For the past 12 years, we have had our quality management system audited according to the ISO 9001 standard. The audits are conducted every three years by the accreditation body of Bureau Vertias, in accordance with the applicable standards. Our Quality Management Officer, Nadine Kuhna, ensures that all processes are subject to continuous improvement.
In September, we were able to achieve successful certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001, now in the 2015 edition, for the fifth time in a row.
25 years of AGST Wire & Bending Technology

Progress of construction work
Construction work on the warehouse extension, which began in May, is progressing well, and the building structure is already visible. The extension will increase our storage capacity by approximately 1,000 square meters.

Successful trade fair appearance at WIRE 2018
AGST Draht- und Biegetechnik had a successful trade fair appearance at Wire 2018 in Düsseldorf. Wire is the largest trade fair of its kind for wire and cable and attracted more than 71,500 trade visitors from 134 countries this year. We are already looking forward to the next Wire, which will take place at the same venue from March 30 to April 3, 2020.
